2026 NYC Climate Week: Making Circularity Pay-Off

Sep 11
1 min read

On Monday, September 21, during Climate Week NYC, the Circular Value Institute, Columbia University and the World Circular Economy Forum hosted the third edition of Making Circularity Pay-Off. It sold out, and the room was engaged from start to finish.

Sandra Goldmark of Columbia University opened with a working definition of what makes a product truly circular. Chris Van de Voorde followed with the Circular Value Index, a way to measure whether reuse and recovery actually pay. Sofie Rapsaet then showed how it works in practice with Belgian cases from Beneens, Colruyt and Livlite.

We closed with big news. The World Circular Economy Forum is coming to New York City from June 8 to 11, 2027.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. See you at WCEF2027.
